Sick Sick Sick

It hasn't been too good recently with my 3 gals. They had been sick for more than 1 month and spending more than 1K on their medical fees!

It all started out with Rachel, don't know where she got her virus from, started coughing and running nose. After visiting the GP, she was better, but spread the virus to the maid. This stubborn maid refused to see doc when she was taking her medical check-up and slowly, slowly, pass the virus to my husband. Only then, she's willing to see the doc.

After my husband, the virus spread to my sensitive gal, Renise, who is still sick until now. Renise who later spread the virus to Reyna.

Renise was not coughing too badly, but it's prolonging the recovery. After she had been to the PD for the 2nd time after 2 weeks of coughing (she finished 2 bottles of Bambec before that), she was given the neuberlizer which she had to use it for 5 days 3 times daily. At the same time, Rachel got the virus back and visit the PD for the very first time, this time they spent me a total of $360!

They visited the doc for a total of 3 times (PD) and with these series of doc visit, Renise needs to continue 2 expensive type of medicine for 3 MONTHS and Rachel & Reyna are put on antibiotics.

Hiaz..... Financial crisis doesn't seems to affect the business at the PD's clinic.....

Finally!

I was very nervous since Thursday. This was my 3rd attempt for my driving license. For the 1st 2 times, I failed because I had mounted the kerb which had never happen during practise. It was my bad luck.

Yesterday, I took my 3rd attempt. After going through what had happened in the 1st 2 tries, I was even more nervous and stressed. This was my 3rd attempt, I can't afford to fail again! And this will be my very last try as I do not have that much of extra cash to continue for the 4th attempt. I was really stressed.... The kind of feeling.... was really hard to describe.... It was a nightmare to me.... I couldn't sleep well the day before. The moment I closed my eyes, the incident of my mounting kerb reappeared before me....

My test time was 3.45pm, it was a looong wait from the moment I woke up and opened my eyes till the practise time at 3pm. My friend took the test on the same day with me but she was in the morning session. When she told me she had gotten her license, I was even more stressed..... Can't afford to fail, I've told myself.

During the test, I was extra careful in the circuit. Circuit 4, which was a S-curve, was my 1st circuit during the test. I was extremely careful and went through it safely. But after this circuit, I think I was nervous, but I think the tester was even nervous than me. :P I was asked to turn right, as per my instructor teaching, I have to go forward to the right moving lane before turning right, but the tester was so nervous that he thought I wanted to go straight. :P After turning right, I was asked to turn left again which was almost immediate, but don't know why, I went forward, thinking he was asking me to turn left at the junction instead of the test circuit to do a parking test, but I managed to turn left on time.

I was told to do a reverse parking, again, due to nervousness, I've kind of "miss" out the proper steps and reacted slow on my steering wheel, but when I realised I was very close to 1 side, I made an extra manovuer to make sure I didn't hit the pole. But as I was about to move forward, the tester stopped me and said that I've striked the kerb. The inside me told me I couldn't have strike the kerb and as I was looking around checking whether I striked the kerb, I opened my door to see and luckily I did that, otherwise points will be deducted as I did not strike the kerb. I was given another time to do the parking properly and this time I managed to do it right. While leaving the parking lot, he again said I striked kerb which I did not feel it. But I don't think I had striked the kerb anyway.

The whole process was a long time for me as I failed twice in the circuit, but everything well on smoothly after that and managed to exit the circuit without much points deducted. All in all, I've did well in the driving test (and I'm glad... phew!) and managed to pass the test with only 8 dermits points.

Finally! I can drive my car around!

1st Bicycle Experience

Rachel had received a bicycle for her birthday! It's her first bicycle!

On Monday, we finally found a chance to bring her for a ride in her new bicycle. Initially, we had intended to bring her cycle around the estate, but while on the way out, we realised it's not a good idea, haha, cos she was so unsteady with her new bike and with 2 sisters in lug, we abandoned the idea and decided to just let her cycle at the open space downstair.

It's our mistake for not training her to ride her bike earlier. She still can't ride a 4 wheels bike! It's time to train her up.... but seeing her enjoying her bike on Monday nite, I found that she had grown....

5th Birthday Party

We had just celebrated Rachel's 5th Birthday @ Melville Park Condo last Sunday. It was an enjoyable party! The children enjoyed themselves very much!

We used almost a month to prepare her party. It wasn't easy, as we had just shifted our house. The coordination of the house moving, her party catering, preparation, packing and unpacking.... all at the same time. Luckily we had the help from all our relatives to get all the jobs done on time for her party.

As usual, I did a cake for her party, it's a Castle Cake! It was to match her birthday theme: Princess! Had prepared for it for almost a week to get it done. I was actually quite nervous, as I had never built a castle cake before, hence I searched around for advice and help. Hope to create the "wow" effect from her friends as well as myself.

I roped her in to brainstorm on the design and decoration of the cake. For it to be round or square and what to put on the castle. I had also roped in Renise help to prepare the turrets as well as the flowers decoration and the hearts. I think they had enjoyed themselves very much in the preparation of the cake. So, when all the heads and hands combined, this was what we had created:

No sure if you can see clearly the doves on the top of the turrets, she actually wanted in on the walls of the turrets, but I felt that doves should fly high, hence I suggested to her to be on top and she agreed to it. I'm acutally quite happy with the result except that I find the colours not bright enough. If ever I have the chance to create it again, will sure to do a bright bright colour castle.

More of her birthday party photos can be viewed here.

Updates

Hihi to all, it's been quite sometimes since I last blogged.... Many things had happened during these times when I'm away. One of the major thing was that we had moved. The next big event coming up is Rachel's 5th Birthday Party Bash.

This is her 1st birthday bash as for the past 4 years, we only did small celebration for her either in school or at home. Since this is her 5th year and her circle of friends had increased, we decided to organise a birthday bash for her so that she can share her joy with her fellow friends.

The theme of this party will be Princess. I don't know why she loves Princesses so much and even her new room, she requested it to be pink! Hence, I've bought her a Pink Princess Dress to match the theme and will be doing her a Pink Castle Cake. I got her involved in the design of her cake so that she could share the joy of preparing for her party. She have been rather excited recently. I've also bought some items for her goodies bag and while I'm so worried she might bring it out to play before I can distribute it to her friends this weekend, I was told she dare not touch it at all as my mum had warned her if she spoil it, she will not have gifts for her friends! I can see that she's very much excited about her party, same as myself. I lost my sleep almost everyday stressing about her cake. It's my first attempt to create a castle and I hope I can create a beautiful cake for her!

Come back to the new house. We shifted in last 2 weeks. Initially, Reyna was abit lost. She kept walking up and down the house, looking so lost! The other 2 were quite alright. Initially, I was kind of worried that they may not be used to the new place. No more MRT train sound, no more car moving sound and the environment is totally different. I also have difficulties adapting to the new environment, but the children surprised me! Rachel & Renise managed to sleep through the night on the first day and they like their new room very much! Reyna managed to sleep through also except that she cried the moment she woke up early next morning and she's kind of shy to lie on her/our bed(Platform) initially as it's so different from our previous bed. Luckily, she got used to it quite fast.

Oh yes, there's another update. I've quitted my job...yes, again..... I hope I can work PT this time round and at the same time look after the welfare of my children. It's Rachel's wish that I stayed home with her, so I hope I can make use of these time to teach and "tame" them. GOD, pls give me the strength and PATIENCE!!!

Ok, that's all for the updates and keep a lookout for this blog again as I will be uploading the party photos soon after this week. :)

Jacob Ballas Garden

Finally, after hearing of this place for so many times, we had the chance to visit it today!

Woke up at 8am, started preparing breakfast before we headed to Jacobs Ballas Garden.

I had heard from fellow forumer that there are a few carparks around the Singapore Botanic Garden and only 1 is near to the JB Garden. SH told in her blog that she parked somewhere far and walked quite a distance to reach the place. In order not to follow her footsteps, we tried our best to look out for JB garden carpark. We thought we had found the place, but we were wrong!! We parked at Carpark A and it's was a distance to JB!

We walked and walked, everytime we walked past a carpark, we thought this should be the nearest carpark, but we had walked past at least 2 carparks before we reached the actual JB Carpark! It was less crowded there! We waited for abt 15mins at Carpark A before we can actually parked as the carpark was fulled.

After 20 mins walk, we finally reached JB!! When we entered the park, Reyna was sitting in the pram quietly, when we reached the photosynthesis area, I let her out of the pram, then she got so excited!! Keep wanting to go and turn the handle on the box!! I don't know what will happen, cos I tried turning it, I can't see anything changes or popped out. :P

Ok, look at all these pictures... the gals had enjoyed very much with the place.... except for Reyna who has yet appreciating it :P

Smoked Blender

I "smoked" my 6 years old blender!!! Haha, I find it very funny, I thought this scenerio can only be found in sitcom or comedy, but it actually happened to me.

I was trying to make some dark chocolate ice cream, but the recipe required the use of an ice cream maker. As I do not have the ice cream maker, I used the blender to blend the ice cream after it had been frozen. It took me quite some time to blend the ice cream till milk shake form, but luckily, it managed to turn into milk shake before the blender "smoked" on me... There's smoke coming out from the motor!! I wondered what happened? Was it I overheated the blender or the water from the condensation dripped into the motor and causing it to smoke.

Anyway, that will be my last use of the blender as well as my last batch of ice cream till I buy an ice cream maker, which is impossible as it's super ex or a new blender which can use to churn the ice cream.

Family Photo

Last Sunday, since we are still early for our dinner, we brought the gals to Robinson for a walk and see if we can get anything for our new house.

While we were there, we were curious about Living Colours from Philips and there was a roadshow going on hosted by Vivien Tay. When she saw us approaching, she called out for us and apparently, there's no one watching her, so she asked if we would like to take a family photo.
Haha, we proceed to the set up in the Robinson and took the photo with the ambience colour purple cos Rachel told her that her favourite colour is Purple.

Not too bad, except that we came unprepared so the dressing were abit obiang. :P

1st Diaperless Night

I know, this is nothing to be proud, but though this happened only now at 5 yrs old, at least it happened now.

Rachel had gone through her first diaperless nite last nite and, managed to survive the night without wetting the bed. I hope this will continue so that our pocket will be spare a little from buying her diaper though she is sharing them with her sisters.

3 cheers for Rachel!! Hip hip.....Hooray!!!

Sick Sick Sick

It had been a loooooooong time since I last blogged. Been too busy.... busy with my work, my family and myself. :P

For the past few days, Reyna was sick....She suddenly developed fever on Friday night and on Saturday, the fever went up as high as 39.8 degC! She was soooo sticky to me.... but she was very tired and sick too... sat on me the whole day long and only wants me to carry her. But at any point when her fever subside a bit, she will join her sisters in their playing... so the moment she came looking for me, I know it's time for medicine. :P

Yesterday, her fever finally subsided to very mild fever and she started her cheeky and funky self. I'm so glad to see her alert and happy again.

Since it's been long I've blogged. Just upload a few recent photos of my gals bah:
This was the recent Barney show which we brought them to and I've spent a few hundred on this as I bought them the most expensive seat at the 2nd row in front of the stage.

It was quite an enjoyable show.... Think Rachel is out-growing Barney cos she's not too excited. It was Renise who got very excited and started screaming like calling out for idol... we were very surprised as we thought she will be irritated by the loud noise. Glad the gals enjoyed the show and at least the money was well spent!

There will be more photos coming up, cos I'm not able to upload this from my office PC. Will do so when I got back home.

Happy Birthday Renise!!

This year, as Renise had started to attend some Art class with her sister, we had decided to celebrate her birthday earlier at her Art class so that she would have friends to sing birthday song and shared her joy.
As promised, I had baked her a Cinderella Doll Cake. She always tell me that she is Cinderella whenever we read the story, so I've decided to bake this cake for her.
Instead of the usual doll pick where it's only the head and half body, I bought her the whole doll from Toy R'us. It was a Cinderella Barbie Doll with a necklace and comb and shoes which she can play with after the celebration. Wow, this cost me $30!! But well, it's her birthday, and this was also my birthday gift for her.
Well, the cake was a challenge. As I'm using the usual barbie doll, the cake was taller than the previous cake which I had done before. It consisted of 4 layers of cakes with 3 flavours, Chocolate Sponge, Buttermilk cake and of course the usual Butter cake. I'm supposed to cover the skirt with fondant, but I do not have enough to do it and my fridge is not tall enough to store the cake if I will to use fresh cream. Even if my fridge can store it, I doubt the fridge in the Art class can, hence, without much choice, I had to cover it with buttercream icing.
This was the cake I did for her:

Beside this, I was worried that this may not have enough to share for all the kids at the class, also, I was lazy to scout for goodie bags and packing them, I baked and decorated the Cinderella Themed cupcakes for her.... obviously.... the glass slippers was the choice :

Again, will update her party photo later. :)

Is it Teething?

Last nite, I was woken by Reyna's snorting sound, she's having blocked nose!! Poor gal, she is too having cough!! With cough and flu coming in side by side and with her frequent poo which looks mashy... could she be teething?

I do not know. I will have to bring her to doctor tomorrow to find and out hopefully the TCM will helps. :(

Update on Little Reyna

Last nite, as I was patting her to bed, I realised how much she had grown. Instead of putting her to sleep, I played with her for a while. She can said many things now. As she's getting smarter each day, she's getting naughtier as well as she is able to know how to demand and in what way her parents and grandparents will give her. But, she is such a sweetie pie, can you bear to say no to her? Plus, she is quite a good actor, she can cry till very pitiful just to get something done.

Here's what she can say & do now:
- daddy de4
- hai2 yao4 chi1
- ear
- nose
- pinch
- bus without the 's' sound
- count 1 - 5 in chinese
- count 1 - 10 in english but not in sequence
- chou4 chou4 (smelly in chinese)
- drink water from cup with little drip
- snatch things from her sisters
- scratch her sisters (*faint)
- climb up a stool
- bring a stool to the designated place for food
- can shower standing (yipee! no need bath tub liao)
- can show her "yes" or "no" by answering or action

Hmm... guess that's all I can think of at now.

Eventful Holiday

Last weekend, it's the "last" holiday for 1st half of the year. The next holiday will have to wait till Aug for the National Day.

On Sat, after my driving lesson, I went for my fish therapy. When I was in the Kampong Fish, there was this man already in doing his therapy and we were early. We brought along Reyna as my mum was not free to help me look after her, hence I brought her along as I've seen others bringing along their kids. As you know, Reyna being a toddler, tends to scream and get excited quite easily, so she was quite "noisy" in the sense. This man, commented to the staff that it's ok for their customer to bring their children, but if the children are screaming, it's disturbing..... customers are here for relaxation. Wa lau, Kampong tends to be noisy one mah, kampong if quiet it's no longer kampong, it's HDB or Pte Estate liao. Furthermore, if he finds Reyna noisy, how about if a group of customers were chit chatting and laughing loudly during the therapy (which it happened previously), will he said it's not relaxing? People gathers to find a time to catch up and doing the therapy at the same time, so if he finds that noisy, what can I say? To me, it's Kampong Fish, hence, it's ok to be noisy abit, otherwise, it's not called Kampong liao. Anyway, I think that man is just sick lah, cos when it's time for him to wash his feet as his time was up, he requested for another 5 mins, putting the blame on us for being too noisy and disturbed his relaxation. If every customer like him, think Kampong Fish will lugi.
Anyway, I'm just feel disgusted by his words and attitude.

After that, I went for my check-up at TMC, of cos with Reyna again. This Reyna had missed her morning nap and when she's in the clinic, she running everywhere to keep herself alert! Luckily the clinic is big and there's is enough space for her to run about. Poor hubby, he was so tired after chasing her and catching her. :p

After the check-up, we went to pick up the gals who were still in their art class waiting for us. (I've requested the help of Jeanlina to look after them while I went for my check up :P, THanks Jeanlina! :) )

Reyna was shagged, since she missed her morning nap and Rachel and Renise were too, tired as they had been using their concentration in their class, they fell asleep quickly.

After their nap, we went back to JB. The whole bridge before the custom was full of motorist! It's just like tiny ants marching along the bridge. It took us about 30mins to reach the custom.

On Sun, we went to do lots of things. Hubby went to make his spectacles, we went for massage and best, Rachel got her hair cut short. So many things happened.

Monday too, had lots of activities...sent the mochi to Shihui, went to maid agency to interview a transferred maid, went out for lunch, went to view a condo show room and last, went out for dinner.

It was such a busy weekends! I don't even have the time for my triple cheesecake.... hmm, maybe I should do it tonite since the process seems quite easy :P

Official Quitting

Yes, I know, I know, I've been saying to quit my breastfeeding career but am still breastfeeding up till today and STILL, on-going.

But this time, it's for real, I've officially stopped pumping at work and only feed Reyna when I'm home. I'm using the same tactic as I'm using last time for Renise, ie let her realise herself that milk is getting lesser and stop latching on herself. During this transition period, I will also train Reyna to take Formula or even Full cream milk as her milk intake. I will also try my best to introduce dairy products in her diet (she don't like cheesy items).

Very fast, I will be starting my new job at Marina Bay and the time of spending with them will be shorter. I'm hope GOD really have His plan for us and sees me through all these hardship and taking good care of my gals while I'm away. I hope my bond with the gals will not be weaken and hope that the usually activities will not be much interrupted.

Super Sticky

For the past few days, I realised that Reyna had been very, very sticky to me.

She can cling on me the whole day, asking me to carry her all day long and keep coming to me for milk. Like yesterday, I was sicked and took MC to rest at home. While I was sleeping, she kept waking me up and tell me "nei nei"..... then cried when I refuse to give in but the moment she hear the clicking sound, she will chuckle cheekily...really cannot tahan her.

She was such a glutton also, must have inherited her mummy's.... :P Last nite, she just plucked the fu zhou (dried bean curd skin) from the plastic bag and put inside her mouth and chew.... headache leh, then yesterday, while her sister was doing her homework, she also take the colour pencil and put inside her mouth and suck like lollipop!!

Hiaz.... I know ur mummy is a glutton lah, but not that extend of putting everything in the mouth and eat bah.... Then while reading the post from Shihui, I'm sort of worried what will happen if Reyna also took the detergent and swallow it?? At least Shihui are more educated and bring him to A&E, my mum will panick.... and what if nobody knows she swallow the detergent?? It's really worrying and thanks to Shihui's blog for the reminder to keep the chemical safely....

Reyna Reyna

After reading PH's blog, I then remembered that my little nana also have her cuteness. :)

Every nite, when she's tired, she will run to me and cuddle me and pull me into the bedroom, but before that, she will kiss her daddy and her sisters goodnite and quickly run into my room. When she's in my bed, she will lie down and if I try to lie down without switching off the lights, she will kick me and point to the light and say "deng, deng"...... and while I walked to switch off the lights, she will wait happily in my bed and will chuckle cheekily after I off the lights.....then, she will ask for her "nei nei"..... and off to dreamland.......

When it's shower time, she will quickly run into the room, take her handkerchief and towel and say "sho.......wer" and walked into the bathroom.....

When it's meal time, she will find a place and seat down and wait for the food....as she does that, she will mumble "mum mum...."

Haha, and when her sister cries, she will look at us and ask "zou mo"...."ei....shame shame"....

Anyway, she is such a sweetie pie now.......

Macaroons

Yesterday, I did the macaroons, durian cake and durian swiss roll....

The macaroons wasn't very successful, there's no feet and it cracked while baking, however, the taste was good. I baked and eat at the same time. :P

I've also got the macaroons for Amrita (Fishandrice) while collecting the chocolate from her. It was so yummy and the look was so nice..... I shall try again to do it, maybe.....this Thursday (Labour Day)? :P

Lucky / Suay Day

Last Saturday, I had an "adventure". I went to IMM for dinner with my family and on my way to the carpark, Rachel wanted to go the toilet, so I brought her to the toilet at the 2nd floor beside Osim.

Happily, I just hang my wristlet on the door and since it's only she who was going to pee, I did not close the door. While I hanged up the wristlet, inside my head, I'm telling myself that don't forget about that Wristlet...... however....this pig brain of mind still forgets about it and walked out of the toilet empty handed.

I did not realise it until I reached home before I got out of the car (I usually will search for my wristlet before I got off). I quickly called my sister, who will by chance still in IMM (we went dinner together) went up to the toilet to search for me while I'm on my way back to IMM.

It's GONE!!! I'm not worried about the money, cos it's not much inside. What I'm worried is my PDL and my ATM card...these 2 will have to go through many procedure and queueing to apply for a new one.... but luckily, I went to the customer service counter to check if someone would have bring it there and I was really lucky, my wristlet was there with everything in tact...not a single cent lost.... I must thank the kind soul who had returned it to the customer service counter.......

Quitting

I will be officially quitting my breastfeeding career as I will be switching job soon.

My new job will be at Marina Bay and it requires a longer working hour and it will be at a job site, hence I won't be able to pump for her. And personally, I feel it's time for her to wean off.

I've finally found a job with better prospect....in future, I will be working at Marina Bay Sand Construction Site..... Hope I can handle and cope well, balancing both work and family....

I will sure miss my baking alot, but will still try to bake on weekends..... :)

Cute

Just came back from lunch and decided to blog about this.... I can't stop smiling at myself when I looked at the wristlet which Grace had bought for me from US.

Yesterday, to my astonishment, I saw a big "R" written on this wristlet and do you know who wrote it?? It's that Renise...... and when I questioned her about writing on my wristlet, she said: "I wrote my name on the bag, so that bag now belongs to me. R is for Renise, so that bag is mine now." Oh my gosh....so....cute.....she feels that once she had her initial written, her sister won't snatch from her and that wristlet is hers now....aiyo....

Though abit heartache for the damage done on the wristlet (branded leh), but that "R" on it makes me happy and proud of it. And now, we are "sharing" the wristlet. :)

Fruitful Weekend

The just past weekend was a fruitful one. I had 2 days to do all my baking and trialing.... so happy.... On Sat, after I came home from my mum's place, I started working on the Tiramisu which Shihui had ordered for her hubby. This time round, I used chocolate wafer to put at the side of the heart-shaped cake rather than leaving it plain with raw edges or lady's Finger:

After that, I've also tried the Mee Sua Kueh recommended by the forum friend and receipe courtesy of Pooh. But I didn't take a picture of it, was in a rush. :P

Then, on Sun, I finally had a chance to try the 65C Bread Loaf.

This was the loaf just out from the oven.
After slicing.
Close look at the texture, it feel so soft, but I'm wondering if I did anything wrong with it as I was expecting soft loaf with soft crust, but the outside of the bread was not as soft as I've expected. :P But it's still nice.

I've made another batch, thinking it may not be enough to just make 1 loaf, so this is another batch (Before baking):

I've made it like raisin plaits and the long roll contains cheese, the short one, 1 is cheese, 1 is raisin wraped up.

I'm hoping I'm able to have another fruitful weekend this week, but I doubt so, but I will try to bake chiffon cake for Reyna to eat on Monday. :)

First Competition

Yesterday, Rachel participated in a Colouring Competition organised by her school. It was a on the spot colouring competition and she won the 3rd Prize.

We reported at around 9.15am and upon receiving of the contest picture, we started to stack up chairs and luckily I've remembered to brought along a board as backing for her and she started doing the colouring. It was a headache for me, Rachel is a very curious and talkative gal, as she was colouring, her hand was moving, but her eyes were distracted by her surrounding and gosh, the picture was quite big and she needs to complete it by 11.30am!! I sat beside her all the time, keep asking her to concentrate, colour properly, discussing with her about the picture, which part is the clothes, which part is the legs and body so that she knows what colour to fill it in. The picture consists of 4 person (4 community), 2 flats, 1 kite, 1 stretch of bushes and 1 big sky.... by 10.30am, she only coloured 3 person and she's still yaking away, taking her own sweet time!! I got nervous and started losing my patience (it was hot and humid also), I started scolding her that time is running out and yet she's still taking her own sweet time. She struggled, her mum, me, keep pushing her....rushing her....and finally, she managed to finished her colouring on time. (Cos she also got stressed as most of the people had already handed up the picture :P)

During the competition, we saw parents, family, brothers and sisters helping out to help their kids to colour the picture, which I felt it was unfair, however, it's just a small kids competition and I can't be bothered much. Finally, it's was the result time, Rachel got 3rd prize, but personally lah, I feel the 1st 2 prizes was a kelong! How can a K1 student coloured till so nicely w/o going out of the line and the stroke was so firm and precised. One of them even can draw the outline of the picture to create a different colour tones. It's not that Rachel got 3rd that I'm not happy with, cos Rachel still colour out of the line and some of the colour smudge as she colours, but hers was all done by herself. I'm actually proud of her.

This picture was actually her receiving prize (1 plague and $5 Popular Voucher) from Dr Ong Chit Chung:

I want to add, this is her first competition, it was quite enjoying for me and I hope I can accompany her more for such competition. Btw, I think she also enjoyed my company as I've never accompanied her to do her colouring till her completion of the picture because she always loose her concentration and run away from the table. :P

Rachel Vs Reyna

Can you see who is who??

Trip to Malacca

As I've mentioned before, here are some of the photos we took in Malacca during the Good Friday holidays:
See, Rachel fetching her sisters...(Pose only, she can't even reached the petal)

Mummy seems to enjoy the trishaw ride more than me.... I'm tired... (The lady beside is her Da Gu)
Off we go.... for a 10mins ride in trishaw!! Poor uncles, all heavily loaded :P

Singapore Flyers

I've never dreamt that I will take Singapore Flyer so soon. Initially when it was constructing, I told every one that I won't want to take that ride as it's so expensive and scary. Thinking and wondering if the structure will be strong and safe. :P Imagine, $30 for 30 mins ride.....

However, I or rather we (whole family) were fortunate to ride on that for free....Thanks to Ting, who buy us the tickets for the ride on her birthday celebration last Sat. Thank you, Ting.

The view to me wasn't magnificent, maybe because we took the ride at nite and can't really see much except the lights, nothing, but lights everywhere. I think I will prefer a day ride and then I'm able to see the landscape of Singapore and even Indonesia as reported by some others who had took the ride during the day..... Here are some pictures of the view....

Reyna was enjoying the view throughout until it was coming down as the other side of the wheel do not have much lights and she was already tired after concentrating for half of the revolution....She's not scare at all!!! She was fancinated by the lights and the view! I do have a photo of her enjoying the view, but it's in my handphone. Will update here soon.
Here's another photo. It's a stimulation photo which we took before taking the ride. The backdrop was done by computer effect and this photo cost us $15...It's ex, but ok lah, serve as a memoral also good. :)

Super Duble Suay Day!!

Really Suay these 2 days!! Yesterday, I wore my new shoes to work, guess what....I ended up hubby offered to fetch me up after work.

My feet sored so much that I can hardly walk. I felt the pain early in the morning on my way to office and when I reached office, one of the blister had already burst. It was a very big blister and can you imagine the pain...... The other foot also had blister but haven't burst yet, so I thought, not that bad.....Too early to say so, this morning, when I walked out of my door, the left foot accidentally kicked the right foot and BURST THE OTHER BLISTER!!!! *OUCH!!!* Suay rite....

Then when I reached downstair, as I was walking to the car holding Renise..... as we crossed the drain, she was busy looking at the cleaner sweeping the floor and dropped into the drain!!! Luckily I was holding her and she was standing in the drain and not sit or in other position. Poor gal, she "inherited" my suay-ness today and her knee was bruised and scratched. She was bleeding and I understand how painful it was. Imagine, my feet were already in pain and while I tried to bear with the pain and hold her walking, she still fell. And it was my fault for not using the proper walkway and took the shortcut. :P

For your info, that new pair of shoes, I did try and try and walk and walk until I feel comfortable then I bought it, still....can get such problem, really suay!!! That shoes not cheap hor!!! This was the 2nd pair of shoes giving me problem. How??!!! Who can tell me where to get a shoe that fits my leg or such problem is unavoidable??!!! HIAZ!!!

Splendid Weekend

The just past weekend was a splendidful one.... It's so bcos.....nothing special, just that my Rachel is more well behaved nia...hahaha....

As for my Reyna, I find her so cute recently, especially when we scold her. She will pout her lips and swallow her tears until I start to show leniency, she will let off her tears....so cute.

That day we brought her to Marina Square and while we were having coffee, her cousins brought her to John Little, then she is so cute to insist a basket and start doing her shopping. They filmed all this down and she even tried to pull 1 of the clothing to put inside her basket.

Ok, I'm bian xin again, but I've just gonna say this.....She is soooooo cute...... All her action and behaviour. :P

Oh btw, she is a very zhuang yi person, for instant, she have a few pair of shoes, but she won't want others except the one that she's been wearing. For food also, when she's eating 1 food and you offered her the other kind of food which is nicer and better and tastier, she will still eat her current food and refuse the others....see, my gal....hahaha....

Dilemna

Last nite, while I was changing Reyna, I find her so cute and suddenly, the thought of her passing this stage soon came into my head. How I wish I could see her passing through this stage of cuteness. Like for Rachel & Renise, I've never enjoyed their stage of cuteness and now Reyna's turn. I thought I could have enjoy her cuteness for as long as they last, but now, most of the time I'm at work, when I reached home, it's already quite late and she will have to sleep soon....

Yes, you may say I buay hiao pai, say my own gal is cute, but she really is mah....:P Hiaz, guess now I just have to enjoy as long as I can for her cuteness...this stage will pass soon......

3D Doll cake

Today is my very first Attempt for a 3D cake. I'm lucky to have someone who is willing to let me try the doll cake for her niece's birthday. Here's the doll head, the top was covered with fondant. I did not cover the cake with fondant as I find it too sweet, unless that person is going for more look than taste, otherwise, I will try to use fresh cream as much as possible.

And here's the whole cake, (of cos, only the skirt is edible) with the head in place.

The skirt was a blackforest cake with vanilla sponge cake. I was kind of worried as it's quite wobbly, so hope that nothing happen during the transportation. :P

Artist in the making

Last 2 days, we went to Melaka for a short trip. We had a enjoyable trip. The photos are not with me, will upload them later. Nothing much there except we went for a short trishaw ride for the gals and I went for buy some handmade noodles and the famous Gula Melaka for my cooking. May do some ondeh-ondeh.... but today, I've got to do my 3D doll cake first.
Before I show you the pix of my doll cake and later the trip, here's my little Artist in the making:

Life After work

It's the end of 3rd weeks since I've started work....Life is not much difference, in fact, better I would say :P

I've got the freedom to go out now without the baby and my gals especially Reyna is now used to be with my mum and I can have more free time for myself. Life is not so stressful as no more screaming at the gals and preparing food (though I missed those times).

One thing I'm guilty was I realised how much my gals had grown these 3 weeks and ever since I'm working, the attention spend on Renise is much much lesser as nowadays when I reached home, Reyna will start to clinch onto my, giving me no chance to even eat my dinner and naturally, the whole nite is like that and hence the attention to Renise is lesser.

Rachel is not that bad as during this March holidays, I've started to give her some writing to do and make sure she do it correctly, but doing this, she somehow feels that she have our attention, but for Renise, as she's still yet to write and she's attending art class on Sat, I didn't want her to do too much colourings till she got so bored with it on Sat. I'm still thinking how I can keep her occupied during the day and later at nite, I can come home to view her work.

skype

Oh yes, I've uploaded Skype. For those who wish to add me, my nick is vaness813rs. :)

Newborn

Today, I went to Gleagles Hospital to visit my just gave birth colleague. Her baby gal arrived in this world yesterday.

When I was there and saw the baby, it gave me a urge to have another baby. Babies are so cute!!! and worst, deep inside me still hoping for a boy, hence there's a urge. Anyway, I've got to hold onto that plan first. Whether or not we are going to have the 4th child, we need to get some "rest" and have to plan properly as it will not be easy to handle with 1 in "terrible 2's" and 1 in "terrible 3's" stage... this is no joke. With all the whimping and screaming, it definitely drove us crazy.

1st Driving Lesson

I just had my first driving lesson last Sat. I was so excited.... so worried that I will be so slow and have a trail of cars following behind me, but I was very heng...hahaha...most of the cars managed to give way to me and I would say my speed not that slow lah... :P

I'm abit gan cheong when I first started off driving, not very used to stepping the accelerator and brake lightly (as Daytona will just step hard on the accelerator and off we go) that's why I always jam brake and created a hard stopping. Hope I will do better next time. Haha, but hor, I think I got eyes, hand and legs coordination problem...haha, dunno where to concentrate :P

I hope I will perform better this week. And guess what? Haha, so proud of myself when I drove to my mum's place myself last week. :P

2nd day of work

Today is my 2nd day of work. So far so good. I'm still in the 'holiday' mood where this job seems to be interesting and I'm still enjoying it. Looking forward to work everyday at this moment. My colleagues are all very nice guys and not "dao" (hopefully they remain as such) so it was quite a good environment. I've met my ex-colleague from another division and managed to join them in the $10 million toto tonite (hope got chance to bring home some money man!). It was so good to see them again. Some of them have left but majority are still around and Amy brought me to visit each of them yesterday as the place had been renovated over the 5 years and they have shifted their location.

As for my gals.....haha, abit drama lor. On my first day of work, when I was about to leave the house, Reyna refused to let me go, she clinged onto me and asked me to carry her and then she refused to come down until I managed to talk to her and divert her attention. Then when I went downstair (as my mum n Renise brought Rachel to school), I went to bid good-bye to Renise and to my surprise, she cried badly the moment I walked away and she, too clinged on me until I had to remove her forcefully from the carrying. What a sad start for the day. Then when it came to evening, dunno if it's Reyna who was feeling unwell then got cranky or she missed me and got cranky and the moment I'm back home, she wanted her nei nei. She didn't drink milk for the whole day!!!

Today was my 2nd day, I've got to leave early to bring Reyna to doc again. Today was much better for a start as Reyna, though unwilling to let me go for work, still, managed to divert her attention and Renise didn't see me when I left. My mum told me Reyna was alright the whole day, playing with her sisters, but of cos, still coughing and running nose. As I'm bringing her to doc and managed to only make an appt for 3.30pm (actually planned to make appt aft 4pm, but this was the latest slot), so I made my hb took half day leave while I only leave at 3pm as I need to learn as much from my work as possible as my senior may go into labour any time. So hb took half day and went home to fetch Reyna before fetching me. To my surprises, Reyna behaved well in the car seat alone in the front seat.

So, today, not too bad. Let's see how's tomorrow. Oh, btw, it's 15th day of new year!!

Last Day as Tai Tai

Today is my last day of my Tai-tai's life. Tomorrow, I will start my career life again.

Yesterday, I quickly went to BBDC to apply for my PDL and went for some window shopping and enjoy my last bit of those shopping times at office hours and without the big crowd. After today, my shopping trips will be with pool of people and everywhere are packed kind of shopping which makes my shopping trip less enjoyable.

During these 14 mths at home, I am very happy to have nurture Reyna myself and that I've watched her grown up from a baby to a toddler. Seeing her so attached to me makes me feel that all my hardwork over these months were worth it. Beside the nurturing of the gals, I also have a great sense of achievement as I've started my 3Rs and I can see my baking skills improving. I also got myself involved in promoting Breastfeeding with the Breastfeeding Mothers' Support Group. These had been my achievements. Nothing great, but just have kind of own satisfactions.

From tomorrow onwards, I will have a new set of goals and resolutions to achieve. Also, from tomorrow onwards, I will miss my Reyna the most as she had been with me most of the time during these months of SAHM life and she's the reason for me to stop work then. I do feel abit sad to leave her now but I know she will be in good hands of my mum. But also, after I've started work, I can only hear from my mum her new developement and growth as well as achievement and not able to see them myself for the first time.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thanks God for giving me the opportunity to take care of Reyna for the past year and He too, had taken care of us well. I believed that this is the path He had choosen for me to go through, hence I will treasure it and learn to adapt and walked through all obstacles which may lay ahead of me. And I know, He will see me through them too.

Let's hope that life after working will be much better (Financially and physically as well as emotionally).

Last creation

This is my last creation before I start work.
